A Final Thought For 2019
What does it mean to be a naturally supernatural person? This is a question I’ve been exploring for decades. So on this morning of 2019 I found myself reflecting on that question yet again. Here’s what I’ve come up with… so far.
I’m coming to understand that the crux of naturally supernatural living isn’t the occasional fireworks we may experience. It’s attentiveness to the Holy Spirit in the ordinary and every day of our lives and responding to him in “fully” human ways the way Jesus was fully human; the way his Father, our Creator intended us to live. Complete, mature lives alert to and controlled by his Spirit, reflecting his image…
So, with that in mind, I can say I’m living naturally supernaturally when I’m living…
Trustingly…
Dependently…
Spontaneously and childlike…
Obediently…
Faithfully…
Humbly…
with acquired passivity…
Relinquishing control…
In step…
Selflessly…
Egoless…
Alert…
Prayerfully…
Expectantly…
Otherly…
Willingly…
Thankfully…
Joyfully…
Generously…
Sacrificially…
Unreservedly…
Without hesitation…
Worshipfully…
…the way Jesus lived. The way our Creator originally intended us to live.
